The SMH Surgery Department accommodates a wide-variety of outpatient procedures. When surgery requires an overnight stay, patients can recover comfortably and privately, knowing family is nearby and always welcome.

You and your family can also have more peace of mind knowing that our staff Hospitalist will be familiar with you and your care requirements, and will interface with your surgeon and primary care physician during your in-patient stay.

Aside from our dedicated board-certified general surgeon, we also offer visiting surgeons and a core team of skilled surgical nurses and technicians, as well as an alliance with a highly established and qualified anesthesiology team from Decatur Memorial Hospital.
