Volunteering
Volunteers do not fit a particular mold. Volunteers are men, women, senior citizens, former patients, homemakers, retirees, professionals or students. However different, volunteers each have one thing in common….they positively impact the lives of the people they help. What better place to volunteer than at Shelby Memorial Hospital, where each volunteer makes a difference. Volunteers work in a variety of areas with duties assigned based on the volunteer’s interests and the hospital’s needs.
At SMH there are many opportunities to serve the community. If you have an interest in volunteering as a hospital greeter, helping to escort patients through the hospital, assisting family members with a loved one in the hospital and more, please contact Sue Weddle at 217.774.3961. Shelby Memorial Hospital volunteers will receive immense satisfaction and joy from giving of their time to assist patients, family members, visitors and staff while enhancing the already-extraordinary quality of care at SMH.
