Hospitalist Program

A hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for patients while they are in the hospital. Their time is devoted to caring for hospitalized patients. Hospitalists manage and coordinate all aspects of your hospital care - from admission until discharge - working closely with your primary care physician and/or specialists involved.

Foundation

The Shelby Memorial Hospital Foundation was incorporated in 1990 and is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). Gifts made to the Foundation are tax deductible to the extent provided by the State of Illinois. The mission of the Foundation is to support SMH’s mission to serve the healthcare and wellness needs of our community. Through various fundraising events and activities, the Foundation can provide funds for hospital equipment, programs and other services that enhance patient care.

There are many ways to give and these include and are not limited to:
